Accommodation

Do you accept Credit Card at the resort?

Yes. We accept VISA, MMASTER CARD and AMEX.

How many people can stay in one room?

All the rates shown are for 2 persons in a room. However, each guest room can accommodate a maximum of three people. Please note that the third person charge of THB  XXXX  applied.

Do you offer discounts for a group booking?

For details of the group rates, please contact the Sales Department.

Do you have a pet policy?

We regret that animals are not allowed to enter the resort. Fine applies in case of violation.

Does the internet rate include breakfast?

Rooms can be booked with or without breakfast as described in the booking page.

What are the standard check-in and check-out times of the hotel?

The standard check-in time is 14:00 hrs and check-out is at 12:00 hrs.

Is it possible to check-in earlier?

It is sometimes possible to check in earlier, however, this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. However, to be sure of having the room ready upon arrival, you can reserve the room from the night before.

Do you provide a service for late check-out?

Late check-out until 18.00 hrs is possible, at a charge of xxxxx. – THB. Rate is subject to 7% applicable government tax. However, this depends on availability and cannot be guaranteed. Please contact the Front Desk 24 hours before.

Do you have twin, triple and quadruple room?

We do have single (King-sized bed), twin and triple room. However, no quadruple rooms are available.

Do you have rooms with a bathtub?

Yes, all guest rooms have a bathtub.

Do your have a connecting room?

Yes. Our Gala Deluxe and Qualia Jacuzzi Pool Villa provides connecting facilities. Please request upon reservation.

Do you have non-smoking rooms?

The resort is a smoking free. Smoking is prohibited in all hotel rooms. Fine applies in case of violation.

Is there a safety deposit box available at the hotel?

There is a safety deposit box in every guest room.

How do I cancel my hotel reservation without a charge?

To cancel your booking without incurring any charge, please inform us in written to Reservations Department at least three days prior to your arrival date. You will then be given a refund with 5% administration charge. The refunded amount will take at least 7-10 working days to reach your account.

Please note that you must be booked on a ’Flexible’ rate type as ’Advance Pre-Paid’ rates and some other special rates are non-refundable.

What television channels are available in the rooms?

We have 20 channels in guest rooms. These are as follows although they are subject to change: TV 3 (Thai), TV 5 (Thai), TV 7 (Thai), TV 9 (Thai), NBT (Thai), CNN, BBC-London, Star Movies, Star Sport Channel, HBO Movie Channel, Bloomberg, ET TV-N-Asia, TV 5 (France), DW (Germany), Australia Network, NNK (Japanese), News Asia, Animal Planet, Classical Music, Jazz Music.

Travelling with children

What facilities are available for children?

Children pool by the sea. Special children menus in our main restaurant. The poolside may be used only under parental supervision.

Are baby cots available for the rooms?

Baby cots are available on request.

Are high chairs available in the restaurants?

Yes, we do have high chairs available in our restaurants.

Dining

Where is breakfast served and at what times?

A breakfast buffet is served in the Seashell Restaurant on the ground floor.

How many restaurants and bars do you have and what are they?

We have 3 restaurants and bar in the hotel:

Seashell Restaurant  (All day dining space)

Cafe de La Vie  (cafe, coffee and bakery, kid corner, business corner)

Pool Bar (a wide variety of drinks)

Is vegetarian cuisine available in the restaurants?

A selection of vegetarian dishes is available in every outlet.

Is a special menu available for children?

Yes, we have special menus for children in our restaurant.

Do you have 24 hour room service?

Yes. However the room service is available until 22.00 hrs.

Parking

How much parking space is available at the hotel?

The hotel has 2 parking lots. The main parking lot is located at the front of the hotel accommodating max of 8 cars. The other parking lot is located at the opposite side of the hotel and can accommodate up to 20 cars.

How is the security at the parking lots?

The hotel employed a full-time security guard to monitor the parking spots 24 hours.

Do you have any special packages for honeymoons and anniversaries?

Special packages are available for guests celebrating a special occasion. The hotel can cater any special arrangement upon request.

Where I can book excursions during my stay?

You can ask for recommendations according to your needs and book a tour or an excursion at the Reception.

Do you have special facilities and services available for the wheelchair guests?

Yes, we have a room specially equipped for disabled guests in the hotel. However, accessing to the room has to pass a staircase. Please check with our resort for beforehand.

Business Travellers’ Section

Can I connect my laptop in the room?

Yes, a complimentary wireless internet connection can be set up in your room. Please contact our Business Centre to provide you with a login ID and password. The  access card is valid for 24 hours from first use.

What newspapers does the hotel receive and can these be delivered to my room?

We have Bangkok Post, The Nation which are available from the concierge on request. Guest staying in superior rooms can pick one of the above mentioned newspapers at the Concierge without any charges. For guests staying in our villas, we offer a daily free delivery of newspapers.

Are offices available for rent at the hotel?

We have a boardroom, which is available for rent depending on use. Other services such as catering and equipment are available.

Shopping

Are there any shopping centres near the hotel and if so, where are they?

Future Park and Major Megaplex (one of the biggest shopping and entertainment complexes in Asia-bowling, movie theatres, etc.) is located nearby and it takes approximately 10 minutes by car.

Transfer & Location

How far is the hotel from the downtown shopping areas?

The Rock Hua Hin Resort & Spa is located 5 mins from the heart of the town and near Khao Takieb area.

How do I get to the hotel?

From Bangkok by car, the resort is about 3 hour journey to the south west of Bangkok to Hua Hin in Pra Chuab Khiri Khan province. Private transfer is available upon request, please contact Reservation department in advance.

Is there complimentary transportation available to/from Hua Hin Town?

The Rock’s shuttle van with air-con is complimentary and scheduled to depart from the hotel 3 times a day at  XX.XX , XX.XX  and XX.XX to Hua Hin town. No stop along the way. Booking in advance required. Max. 10 seaters.
The pick up schedule is at XX.XX , XX.XX  and XX.XX back to The Rock Hua Hin Resort & Spa. No stop along the way.

Is there transportation available to/from the airport?

We partner with Trans Asia Express, well known van hire company from Bangkok, for the services to/from the Bangkok International airport (Suvarnabhumi) or Don Muang. Please contact reservation for prices.

General Info

All money pay at Check-out.

One stop payment. staying at The Rock Hua Hin & Resort, we prefer you to walk around without any cash but still can enjoy all of our facilities and outlets. All the bills will be posted to your room account. We will need only your room number, full name and autograph.

Is a doctor available at the hotel?

We have a doctor on call 24 hours.

How far is the nearest hospital to the hotel?

5 kms away from the hotel. It takes around 10 minutes by taxi.

What is the currency in Thailand?

The currency in Thailand is Baht (THB).

At what time do the banks open?

Banks are open from 09:30-15:30 hrs Monday to Friday only.

Can baggage be stored at the hotel whilst I travel to another location in Thailand?

Hotel guests can use the storage facility free of charge if they spend at least one night at the hotel. However, guests will not be allowed to store the baggage whilst they travel to another location in Thailand except the journey take no longer than 3 days and that the guest has to be back to the resort for another stay.

Unfortunately, the storage facility service is not available for non-guests.

What voltage do you use in Thailand?

The electricity voltage in Thailand is at 220 volts. Adaptors are available at the hotel upon request.

What is the VAT refund system in Thailand?

Tourists are able to claim back the VAT on larger purchases when they exit the country. Most department stores provide the necessary forms for completion and will assist you.

Is it safe to drink tap water in Thailand?

The tap water in Thailand is not potable. Complimentary drinking water is provided in all guest rooms.

What is the weather like at different times of the year?

As a general guideline, the weather in Thailand is warm all year round. However, the weather is generally most pleasant from November to February when there are clear skies and sunshine. The hot season is from April and May, when temperatures reach their highest. The rainy season is between June and September although it does not rain every day and usually the rain only lasts for an hour or so in the evening.

What should I wear in Thailand?

Thai people are quite modest. Conservative dress is recommended. Shorts and sleeveless vests cannot be worn to visit a temple.
